What Can Your Library Liaison Do For You?

The liaison shifts from the role of traditional librarian to that of a “go-to librarian,” connecting you to library services and collections. They are information specialists who provide academic support to faculty and students. Specifically, the liaison builds and strengthens partnerships with faculty to facilitate student engagement and success in the learning and research processes.

Core duties of Library Liaison:
-Provide one-on-one research consultations
-Manage library collections in disciplinary areas
-Outreach and communicate news and items of interest from the library
-Assist faculty to identify library resources and services for their courses and assignments
-Teach one-shot information literacy sessions
-Provide supplemental materials for course-related assignments
-Create and manage course-related bibliographies and subject guides
